meyer sound event: November 22nd & 23rd 2010: Emerson Cultural Center - Bozeman Montana
We hosted two events this winter showcasing a special new sound system by Meyer Sound on November 22nd and 23rd in Bozeman, Montana - our home town. Meyer Sound is highly regarded as a world leader in sound system related equipment and technologies. Both events will be held at the Emerson Cultural Center's "Crawford Theater" located at 111 South Grand Ave, Bozeman, MT. 59715.
On Monday evening Nov 22nd, At 7p a short talk will be given by Bill Costigan the founder of Poindexter's about the system and equipment, at 7:03 musician and vocalist "Stefan Stern" will take the stage to play a couple of his origional songs. If time permits we'll do a single Talking Heads song from recent Blu-Ray release of "Stop making sense". At 7:20p we will screen the film "Amelie" on Blu-Ray (in HD).
This experience will be a celebration of aesthetics and story, presented through high resolution sound and video systems featuring the new Meyer JM-1 speaker system. If you have an affinity for color, sound, cinematography, lighting, set design and architecture, these elements and a thousand more converge perfectly in "Amelie", the charming story of a shy, quirky woman living in Paris, France.
"Amelie" is rated "R" due to some brief nudity and adult content. This is an amazing up-beat film shot with a lot of attention to detail both in the visual and sonic sense. The film will be shown in French with English subtitles, it has a running time of 2 hours. Here's a link to the "rotten tomatoes" review.
On Tuesday afternoon Nov. 23rd, wander in between 3p to 7p - the Poindexter's crew will offer a more in depth look at the amazing equipment and technologies developed by Meyer Sound Labs. Pete Soper, Bozeman local, musician and Senior Design Engineer for Meyer Sound will be available to answer questions and demonstrate the equipment. We will offer a hands on demo of the Meyer MAPP (Meyer Audio Prediction Program) software.
We look forward to meeting anyone interested in experiencing music played back through a state of the art sound system by companies dedicated to delivering quality products and service.
